Christmas cocktails for worthiest cause

Liquidator and trustee David Shannon with wife Angelena and sons

On December 19 Ladies Insolvency Professionals (LIPS) will be hosting its annual Christmas Cocktail function and like last year, much of the focus will be on raising funds for the family of much loved liquidator David ‘Shanno’ Shannon, who died on December 18, 2017 after a long battle with motor neurone disease.

To commemorate a year passing since Shanno’s death a portion of the $65 ticket proceeds will be donated directly to the Shannon family and Macquarie Bank will again be providing the venue in the form of the rooftop of its headquarters in Martin Place.

One of the highlights of the night will involve the auction of a bottle of Grange that was donated to the prize pool last year by O’Maras and won by Andrew Scott before being re-donated.

The proceeds will be distributed to the Shannon family.

Details of the event are as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 19 December, 2018

Time: 6:00pm to 9:30pm

Venue: Macquarie Bank, Level 10, 50 Martin Place, Sydney

RSVP: By Wednesday 12 December 2018 to:
